Volvo Car Netherlands
The current Volvo Car Netherlands represents the Dutch passenger car branche of the Swedish Volvo Car Corporation. Volvo Car Netherlands is based in Beesd. About 100 people work on the headquarters of Volvo Car Netherlands. One of the main tasks of the team is to support the Volvo retailer organization in achieving their sales and after-sales targets. All activities are founded on Volvo’s corporate philosophy ‘Freedom to move, in a safe, sustainable and personal way’.
Volvo has consistently achieved a market share of over 4% over the past three years. The positive figures from Care by Volvo, Volvo’s flexible car subscription service, show that demand for flexible mobility and monthly subscriptions continues to grow in the Netherlands. This also applies to the demand for electric cars, where Volvo is one of the leads in the Netherlands.
The Dutch importer, together with its Volvo retailers, is further preparing for the major changes taking place at Volvo the upcoming years. The most important of these are the transition to an all-electric offering in 2030 and the transformation from Direct to Consumer Company in 2025.
In 2023, Volvo Car Netherlands took the next step towards becoming a sustainable organization with Approved Sustainability Plus certification. With this certification, the company followed in the footsteps of Dutch Volvo retailers who already had various Approved Sustainability certification. The certification comes more than a year after Volvo Car Netherlands had its premises and parking lot in Beesd undergone a major sustainability upgrade with the installation of the more than 5,000 solar panels and over 100 new charging points for the fleet.
With this, the company is taking a clear statement with regard to corporate social responsibility: this seamlessly aligns with Volvo’s sustainability vision.
